About EyeSpaceMD

EyeSpaceMD is a multi-dimensional, web-based ophthalmic education portal developed by the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery in conjunction with (partner societies). EyeSpaceMD offers educational content derived from ophthalmic meetings along with ancillary information and opinion in the form of on-line discussion groups, archives, videos, images, articles, news reporting, podcasting, and industry-supported information. EyeSpaceMD was designed to foster the “social media” concept – the realization that collaborative interaction between individuals having similar interests is the most effective and efficient means of collecting, organizing, and disseminating information. EyeSpaceMD offers users the opportunity to create and share ophthalmic information in significant new ways.

About ASCRS

The American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS) is an independent, non-profit organization founded in 1974 for purposes of disseminating information about anterior segment ophthalmic surgery. The mission of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery is to advance the art and science of ophthalmic surgery and the knowledge and skills of ophthalmic surgeons. It does so by providing clinical and practice management education and by working with patients, government, and the medical community to promote the delivery of quality eye care.
